Where has the time gone?

Mixed Pumpkins

I use my blog as online cookbook and bring it up when I am cooking at home on a regular basis. Today, I was looking at Christmas cookie recipes and notice that it’s been well over two years that I posted an actual recipe.

What happened?

Simply put, life happened as it often does.

May 2013 I ran a marathon, a big undertaking in and by itself. After that family planning was on the agenda and successful too. While being pregnant I baked and cook, took photos and always had it in my mind to write on the blog. But sadly never did. Some might be able to do it, I see it in the blogsphere all the time. But I am not one of them.

March 11, 2014 changed the whole game. Our child was born, on a Tuesday, three weeks earlier than he should have. It has been a whirlwind since then. Again, other bloggers can do it, not me apparently.

We also moved to a new city and the blog should be now called “Baking in Regina”, but meh. That would be just silly.

Live is going strong, with many volunteering activities in my and my husband’s life. And the little munchkin is going strong too, leaving little time to take a breath, or to write.

I will have to look into my photos and see what I have done there, uncover the recipes and maybe make a plan to bring them to the screen, to share again. It is dear to my heart after all.

Until then, enjoy the archive and be bold in creating food for you, your family, your friends.

Love,

Andrea

  1. Nice to hear from you again. ( Bought Saskatoon bushes from Scotland and had berries this year.) Very sensible decision not to take on too much work. Enjoy the time with your young child it passes so very quickly. Greetings from The Netherlands.
