I’ve already showed you what we had at the German Christmas Market and I must say that was delicious. However, that was not the only food we had on the Vancouver trip of course. Eating out on trips is common and I enjoyed the things we had. Of course my husband was rather annoyed with me taking pictures. There goes the foodie in me.
There are no culinary surprises I can tell you that, but it was certainly delicious.
Lets kick it off with a visit to Victoria and the James Bay Tearoom and Restaurant. We had a good stay there. I didn’t take a picture of my husband’s food cause he had a burger. Here is what I had:
Before we went on another little trip there was of course Christmas with all it’s food and massiveness. You can read about it in the Christmas Dinner post here.
We took a short little trip to visit SweetArt Supplies who has some really nifty things and is located close to Victoria. Perfect opportunity to pick up something and have a little conversation. On the way back we stopped at My Chosen Cafe, which was recommended by our cousin, to have lunch. Here what we had:
I wish there would have been room for dessert but the portions where huge. I took some of that Chow Mei home. Also, the Chow Mai was a bit bland in taste, fortunately they had some Thai sauce that I could add.
Before heading back home we took a short trip to Nanaimo and we ate at the Fox & Hounds. It is located in a “normal” house, which is quite unusual but it was really charming. The staff was friendly and the whole experience was somewhat British. We had a Cider with black current and a real good lunch.
There was also some Sushi in Vancouver but I didn’t take pictures. I also had a dark chocolate and hazelnut crepes which was extremely delicious but also somewhat pricy. Overall it was a good food trip and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Any food on a recent trip you enjoyed a lot? Post in the comments!
