I almost forgot about the Canadian Food Experience Project post for this month. You can tell I am a bit out of the food loop. *sigh* This month it’s all about regional food and again, it’s tricky. How regional is regional in a country like Canada?

The most North American dessert I can think of: Apple pie. This was a real challenge as well because I made the dough myself. I’ve seen the pre-made shells at the store but I feel like it’s not genuine if I don’t make it myself. I don’t even use cake mixes (except for buttermilk pancakes, I should look for a good recipe).
