A while ago I received the “Petite Treats – Mini Versions of Your Favorite Baked Delights” by Christy Beaver and Morgan Greenseth. I had little time when I received it to make anything out of that lovely little book, but last Saturday it was the perfect rescue.

I receive “The I love Trader Joe’s Vegetarian Cookbook” the other day in the mail and it was a perfect week for that. Because once a month I am doing a Veggie Week and it sometimes is difficult to find a meal for supper. Now I’ve got a book load full of recipes.
Book Review: “Poptails” and Triple Berry Treat
Who doesn’t like a cocktail once in a while? Especially when you are out with some company in a nice little bar. At home though, no one really mixes is own cocktails, unless you have an awesome bar in your house or you are a bartender. Yet, once in a while you wish you could do that for a party you are giving. Regular cocktails though a bit boring. Fear not! “Poptails – 60 Boozy Treats Served on a Stick” will surely help you out.
Aroma’s Burger Event
Here in Saskatoon we have a pretty high density of restaurants per capita, which means you have a big choice when it comes to dining out. Finding a good restaurant can be a challenge though. Aroma, the Mediterranean restaurant in the Radisson Hotel, is a good choice for an evening out.
Book Review: “Tortillas to the Rescue” and Apple Cinnamon Tortilla Pockets
A while ago I received Tortillas to the Rescue, which was written by Jessica Harlan. Now, I like tortillas or wraps as much as anyone else, but I had no clue that you can write a cook book about it. Most intriguing for me was the Sweet Endings section. You can use tortillas for dessert? Yes please!
Restaurant Review: Two Gun Quiche House
If you’ve been to the Farmers Market in Saskatoon before you probably know of Bill and Giuseppi’s. They have the best lemonade by far in town and serve quiche, burgers, sandwiches and soup. Bill opened his new restaurant this past Saturday, September 8th on 20th Street and we went to check it out.
