Onion Pumpkin Tart

I still had a Red Kuri pumpkin left from my Saturday shopping trip to the Farmers Market. What to do with it? I had pumpkin soup several times so I thought something new would be nice. This recipe comes from Pastasciutta, a German Food blog.

Home-made Pizza

My husband is very particular about his pizza. He hates it when there is almost nothing on there and that’s why he rarely eats pizza out or orders it. A classic Italian pizza would never float his boat and I’m almost certain he would starve in Italy. The only good pizza for him is the one he makes himself. Often that involves a pizza crust bought at the store but this time I was able to convince him I could make that myself. I don’t need those additives that are very likely in them (though I honestly never check, so I am making assumptions here).

Christmas Dinner

I hope you all had a good Christmas with your family, or, if you are apart from them (for whatever reason) you had a good day nevertheless. Remember, home is where the heart is and even though if you are apart from your family, in your heart they are always with you.

Christmas is decoration, gifts, singing, family and (sometimes above all else) food. Many family have a traditional Christmas food they will put on and where else could you tell the cultural difference better than on the table?

Now, this is a general observation from what I have experienced. By all means, this does not mean that every family is doing this, so I am talking generalizations. If your family is doing something totally different: please do share.
