Sometimes it needs only one item or ingredients to come up with something quite delicious. That exact same thing happened to me the other day, for breakfast, on a Saturday. Simple things make life wonderful.

When you think of starches for your lunch or supper most of the time one of these come to mind: potatoes, noodles, or rice. But there is another option Germans, especially those in the South, as well as Austrians go for: Spätzle. This particular dish has gained attention in North America as well and I know of some restaurants who serve it here in Saskatoon.

I know, I know, this is so basic, but it’s ohh so good. Egg salad on toast is one of my favourite dishes, I guess it’s one of those childhood memories. I am sure everyone else has something like that, something that was made by your mom, grandma, or your aunt.
Baileys Mousse Au Chocolate – JC100 Week 2
This recipe is brought to you by the JC100 celebration. It is the 2nd week recipe (we are already on week 4 btw). When I saw this I thought “Yes!” because Mousse au Chocolate is probably one of the most famous French desserts out there, besides croissants I guess. Up until now I lacked a bit of time to actually make the recipe, but I finally set down and did it.
Simple but Great: French Toast
Today is my half marathon race day, thus I am sticking to my regular breakfast. However, once in a while we do “fancy” thing, e.g. breakfast that takes a tiny bit more time and preparation than pouring cereal into a bowl. Something like pancakes, waffles, and French toast. Though it takes a bit longer, at least French toast is fairly simple to make.
