Coconut balls

Cake Pops

A week ago I was making a cake for my sister in law’s baby shower. Unfortunately the cake broke and I was left with various pieces and no way to fix it. Reason for that “disaster” was too much shortening. I still have to get used to the measuring over here and when the recipe is asking for 1/3 cup oft shortening I shouldn’t use 3/4.

Welcome

I thought I separate my baking and cooking from my regular blog so I can keep track of it.

My original blog is: http://lachenannun.blogspot.com

There you will find thoughts on my life in Canada, the differences and joys I encounter and how I am coping with the whole thing.

Soon you will find German and North American recipes here and how I am baking through it all.

I am always happy to hear comments, suggestions and whatever else you might want to tell me.

Andrea
